Food Sanitation

 

ServSafe (16 hrs.)

ServSafe is the National Restaurant Association (NRA) curriculum for food safety training and is recognized by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).  Successful completion leads to both NRA and ODH certification.  Those completing the course are able to act as Person-in-Charge for food facilities, schools, churches, parks, mobile food operations, etc.  The course covers the principles of food microbiology, food-borne diseases, standards that are enforced by regulatory agencies, applied measures for the prevention of food-borne diseases in receiving, storing, preparing and serving and HACCP (the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point system).  Textbook and exam fee included in registration.  (Bring a sack lunch.)

The residents of Berea, Brooklyn, Brook Park, Fairview Park, Middleburg Heights, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township and Strongsville will receive a $5 discount on the tuition fees listed.
