Skilled industrial mechanics and  maintenance professionals are employed in the manufacturing sector in industries such as fabricated metal products, machinery,  industrial equipment, motor vehicle and parts manufacturing, food processing,chemical and industrial equipment.

 

Industrial maintenance mechanics are highly skilled employees who maintain, troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment in a plant or factory.

 

This entry-level course is designed to examine mechanical meanitenance systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, belt drives, lifting and maintenance principles and safety. Calculations a pertaining to maintenance systems and troubleshooting guidelines will also be covered.

 

All students are given the opportunity to earn National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Certification.

 

The program is divided into modules that include:

  • NCCER Core
  • Safety
  • Blueprint Reading - Introduction
  • Shop Math/Estimating
  • Tools/Fasteners
  • Electrical Wiring – Part 1
  • Plumbing – Part 1
  • HVAC: Introduction
  • Electrical Motors/Controls
