Motorcycle Safety
Online registration for motorcycle classes will begin at 1:01 AM on Saturday, January 2, 2010. After January 3, registration is also available by phone at 440-891-7600 or in person during office hours. Please click here for the stand-by registration policy and other important information.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You MUST
read and understand the BRC and ERC Course information on their respective Web sites PRIOR to enrolling in either class. If you do not meet the course requirements as outlined, you WILL NOT be accepted into class, and your tuition will not be refunded.
MotorcycleSafety Overview
Professional training for beginning and experienced riders prepares them for real-world situations. Motorcycle rider courses teach and improve skills such as:
- Effective turning
- Braking maneuvers
- Protective apparel selection
- Obstacle avoidance
- Traffic strategies
For the riding portion of both the ERC and the BRC proper attire is mandatory. This consists of: Over the ankle shoes or boots, long sleeve shirt or jacket, long pants or jeans with no holes, full finger gloves, eye protection, and DOT approved helmet. The helmet will be provided if you do not have one.
Note: All Classes start promptly! Allow sufficient time for traffic, weather. Etc. Please be prompt, as you will not be admitted once the published class time begins, and your tuition is non-refundable.

The Polaris Motorcycle Safety program consists of the BRC-Basic Rider Course and the ERC-Experienced Rider Course. Both courses cost $25.
