Ohio Peace Officer Security Academy (160) hours
This program is designed for individuals who are either surrently employed or seeking employment in commercial/retail loss prevention, assets protection, private security , or other private police functions. This course meets the requirements of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission for certification as a private security officer.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and must submit to fingerprinting, a background check and a medical examination. All state and federal guidelines dictating the carrying of a firearm set by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission will be followed.
Commissioned and open enrollment applicants will be accepted. Note: Registrations must be completed prior to a mandatory meeting on Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Fingerprint cards and paperwork will be completed during this meeting.

Class fee $800 Materials fee $300 Total $1,100.
Tuition includes uniforms, textbooks and supplies.
