Complete a Job Training Program at Polaris and you will master job skills and concepts that will maximize your potential. You will also be assisted in your search for the job that is right for you.

What’s in it for You?
During instruction or upon completion of any Job Training Program, you will receive:
- A Career Passport — documentation of your capabilities
- A Certificate of Completion (with 90% attendance and passing grades)
- Job Readiness Assistance – training in job seeking skills, resume writing, and interviewing techniques
- Job Search Assistance
- Industry Recognized Certifications
- National Career Readiness Certificate - credential that certifies the attainment of foundational workplace skills necessary to successfully enter employment
Requirements for enrollment in a Job Training Program:
- 8th grade math and reading level.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Keyboarding skills for Medical and Dental Assisting students.
Note: Please be aware that many occupations require background checks and drug testing prior to employment.
Registration is Easy!
- Call Bev McGlamery, Transitions Coordinator, at (440) 891-7697 to schedule an appointment for admissions testing. The Work Keys assessment test must be taken PRIOR to registration. The assessment test is three (3) hours in length and testing days and times are as follows:
Tuesdays 6:30 - 9:30 pm or Thursdays 9:00 am - 12:00 p.m. - Students may qualify for financial aid. If financial aid is desired, contact Pat Carter, Financial Aid Coordinator at (440) 891-7668.
- Register through the Adult Education Office after testing is completed (Payment Plan available).
- Upon payment of the required fees, students will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis as long as there is space available and testing indicates probable success in the program.
Special Discounts for Job Training Programs
There are several discounts available for Polaris Job Training Programs to those who qualify. Only one of the following discounts per program may be applied.
- Residents of Berea, Brook Park, Brooklyn, Fairview Park, Middleburg Heights, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, and Strongsville will receive a $100 discount on any Job Training Program.
- Graduates from the Berea, Brooklyn, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, and Strongsville School Districts are eligible for a 10% discount on any of the Adult Job Training Programs. Diploma must be presented at time of registration.
- Polaris GED Graduates will receive a 10% discount on any Adult Job Training Program.
