Nursing Assistant (STNA) (90 Hours)
Working in the healthcare field offers more oportunities than ever before. As a nursing assistant, you will be part of the health care team, providing care to residents in long term settings, home health, assisted living or hospitals. This State-Approved Nurse Aide Training (STNA) and Competency Evaluation Program provides both classroom and clinical training in basic patient care required for the Nurse Aide State Exam.
Classroom training will be held at Polaris Career Center; clinical training will be conducted at a local skilled nursing facility. You will also complete the requirements and competency evaluations to meet Medicare-approved Home Health Aide certification and American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR. You must have the 2-Step Mantoux TB test before beginning the class. Polaris is an Approved STNA Testing Site. Testing will be scheduled at the conclusion of the class.
