Become a nursing assistant and enter one of the fastest growing careers in the United States.  This State-Approved Nurse Aide Training (STNA) and Competency Evaluation Program is a great way to enter the healthcare field as it provides both classroom and clinical training in basic patient care required for the Nurse Aide State Exam.

Classroom training will be held at Polaris Career Center; clinical training will be conducted at a local skilled nursing facility and hospital. You will also complete the requirements and competency evaluations to meet Medicare-approved Home Health Aide certification and American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR.  Employment opportunities include nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health and hospitals.  You must have the 2-Step Mantoux TB test before beginning the class and be present the first three days of class. Polaris is an Approved STNA Testing Site (testing will be scheduled at the conclusion of the class).
