National Legislature

Find Your Representative--Use this site if you don't know your representative.   There are links to other related sites in the left column.
EBSCO--Choose Middle Search (in the middle of the first row).  Click Continue on the next page.  On the search page type in your legislator and type in Our States in the Publication box.  A biography on your legislator should be the first hit.

U. S. Senate--This site lists the senators by state.  There is biographical information as well as information on their views on issues and the committees they are on.

U.S. House of Representatives--Search by state or name or committee.  Type in your representative's name in the search and your will get hits for his biography, views on issues and his home page.

Thomas Legislative Information on the Internet--Use this site to check on legislation that has been introduced or passed.  You can see which  bills a representative or senator have sponsored.
Congress Link--CongressLink provides information about the U.S. Congress -- how it works, its members and leaders, and the public policies it produces.
Congress.org--Type in your zip code to find out which candidates you will be voting for. If you do not know the last 4 digits of your zip code you will have to type in your address to get the information.

State of Ohio

Front Page for the State--Learn about your state government.   Links to all the state agencies.

125th State Assembly-- Information on both houses of the legislature and current bills.   Links to other agencies.

Ohio House of Representatives--Find your representative and learn all about him or her.

Ohio Senate--Find out who  your senate is and his or her background and committees serving on, legislation sponsored and more.
Ohio Secretary of State:--Once you know your district you can use this site to find your candidates by clicking on 2002 General Election Candidates. Then go back and click on the 2002 General Election Issues to find out when issues are on the ballot for the state and your community.
