Learn how to access a wealth of pre-formatted, tested classroom materials on the Internet our premier workshop. The Thinkfinity-MarcoPolo resource helps teachers effectively integrate Internet content into the curriculum. The ILTLI offers various Thinkfinity-MarcoPolo Academies.  In 2002, The Institute trainer was named Ohio MarcoPolo Trainer of the Year.  Academies are devoted to discovering the full potential that this Internet Based Content can provide to enhance teaching and learning.  This awarded-standards-based-content has been developed by The National Council of Teachers of Math, The National Council of Teachers of Science, The National Council of Teachers of English, The National Endowment for the Humanities, National Geographic, and The Kennedy School of Performing Arts amongst others!

In our MarcoPolo Academies, Teacher-teams research sites and review content, then participate in discussions with other educators about what they have found. Based upon their discoveries, teachers work through a framework to develop classroom lessons leveraging this powerful content. This process includes addressing variables such as the amount of technology available, timing of classes, student readiness, and more.

The ILTLI also offers web publishing workshops geared to the skill levels of the participating instructors.  Novice Internet users can publish classroom materials within an hour through Polaris Career Center's e-Desk sites -- RWLO and Learning Place.  Within the first day, teachers taking The RWLO Academy produce web-based lessons, through Polaris' framed, filtered, advertising-free, cost free e-Desk Multimedia Publishing tools.

Celebrated Institute MarcoPolo grads:
Mike Baker, ILTLI Trainer,  Trainer of the Year {2002}
Margaret Oakar, Office of Catholic Education Top 100 Award {2003}
