Project History

Polaris acquired Soarweb as a result of The Alliance & Alliance+,  both U.S. Department of Education Challenge grants.   Surweb the sister-site, was developed for another challenge grant by The Southeast Education Service Center of Utah.  RWLO is the result of improvements (e-Desk) made to Surweb, and LearningPlace is the result of e-Desk 2.0 improvements.  Through participation in a PT3 Grant Polaris has able to institute these two newer digital tools.  RWLO has been provided free access over the web, LearningPlace is provided only through Institute Workshops Institute workshops.
