These links have been provided to help all teachers quickly find useful educational resources on the Internet. The links collected under "Teacher Resources" were compiled by the more than 1200 teachers who have taken part in the Institute's Academies during the 1996-2003 school years. Designed principally for the use of teachers within the Ohio school districts of Berea, Fairview, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, Polaris and Strongsville, other internet users may find them of interest. "Studying The WWW" will help teachers learn to integrate the Web through using the Web; "School Projects on Line" links to many distance projects in which schools the world over are taking part; the "Educational Reform" links point to areas supporting many of the beliefs held by The Institute. Rather than developing skills in a predetermined sequence, we believe that students will develop these skills when they are rooted in the context of a meaningful, real world, project based, collaborative environment.  Teaching WITH technology is far different than simply teaching technology.

Janie Varner opened The Institute '97-98 school year  with a presentation Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997.
November 1997, The Institute  announced a partnership with the Alliance for Innovation in the Community College, to develop Internet curriculum for Science instruction.
September 1998, the Institute announced a $9.2 Million Grant From The U.S. Dept. of Education to continue to develop Internet curriculum beyond Science instruction and beyond Middle School, in cooperation with The Alliance Project.
