High School
How do I register for a high school program? The Polaris high school registration process is now online. Click to here access the online application.
Can a high school student live in Cleveland (Parma, Old Brooklyn) and still attend? Students from outside the Polaris District (Berea, Brooklyn, Fairview, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, and Strongsville School Districts) may attend Polaris on a tuition basis with permission from their residence school district.
How old must a high school student be to attend Polaris? A student must be in the 10th grade and/or 16 years of age to attend Polaris Career Center.
Can I come to Polaris after I've dropped out of high school? If you have dropped out of high school, contact the Polaris Adult Education department to discuss your options.
Can I go to Polaris just for academics? No, you must be enrolled in a career-technical program to attend Polaris. Academics is a service offered to our career-technical students.
I live in the district but I don't think I can afford to send my child to Polaris because of high tuition costs. There are no tuition costs to residents of the Polaris district (Berea, Brooklyn, Brook Park, Fairview Park, Middleburg Heights, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, Strongsville). School fees for tools, uniforms, and workbooks may be assessed in programs, however financial arrangements can be made. No student is denied access to a Polaris program because of finances.
I want to be a nail technician. Can I just take the nails portion of the Cosmetology program? No. You must have a cosmetology license to perform any cosmetology service. You are required to successfully complete the entire cosmetology curriculum to take the state license examination. All high school programs are one or two years in length. You must enroll for the entire program.

What are the High School office hours? 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year.
Adult Education
Can an individual attend Polaris Career Center if they are not residents of the community? Yes - Anyone can attend.
Are our class fees different for residents outside our community? Yes, please check the adult education catalog for class fees.
Is there an adult cosmetology program? No, we do not currently offer an adult cosmetology program.
Is Polaris an accredited facility? Yes, by North Central and The State of Ohio Department of Education.
How do I get on the mailing list to receive a catalog? Please call (440) 891-7750 to be added to the mailing list. Click here to view a .pdf of the latest catalog.
Does Polaris offer college credit for the programs? No - We work on clock hours.
How do I register for class By phone, fax, mail, or in person. Payment is due upon registration except for company paying tuition for employee. An invoice is sent after an authorization letter is received from the company stating that the company will pay the employee's tuition.
Is there a registration fee? No - The cost of the class only.
