REAL ESTATE PRE-LICENSE FAST TRACK SERIES
Polaris Career Center has joined forces with Cleveland State University Division of Continuing Education to offer the State of Ohio’s required 120 hour pre-license real estate course series. Classes will be held at Polaris Career Center, 7285 Old Oak Boulevard, Middleburg Heights, OH. Upon successful completion, students will receive 4 Certificates of Completion for 12 CEUs (120 total hours) from Cleveland State University Division of Continuing Education. The Ohio State Division of Real Estate requires that candidates for the real estate licensing examination successfully complete a 120 hour course series, consisting of the following four courses:
Real Estate Principles & Practices - 40 hours
Real Estate Law - 40 hours
Real Estate Finance - 20 hours
Real Estate Appraisal - 20 hours.
Additionally, this series includes a one day State Exam Review Class, which is not a pre- license requirement.

Course Descriptions:
Principles & Practices: Become familiar with agency relationships, license laws and agency disclosure law, real estate brokerage, forms of real estate ownership, fair housing laws, real estate contracts, leases, real estate math.
Real Estate Law: Learn the difference between real & personal property, estates & interests in land, deeds, contract law, foreclosures and liens, real estate license laws, landlord-tenant law, control, regulation of land.
Real Estate Finance: Discover the nature & cycle of real estate finance, the secondary market, instruments of real estate finance, convention, FHA, VA, loans, defaults & foreclosures.
Real Estate Appraisal: Examine the appraisal process, data collection, site valuation, cost approach, sales comparison approach, income capitalization approach, depreciation, reconciliation.
