Basic Rider Course Agreement
PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AS YOU MUST AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING OR YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO REGISTER OR PARTICIPATE IN THE COURSE AND YOUR TUITION WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT US AT bc5050@frontier.com.
In order to take this class, you must have a valid driver’s license with either a motorcycle endorsement, or have passed the written test at the driver’s license bureau, and have obtained a valid temporary permit to ride a motorcycle.
All Classes start promptly! Allow sufficient time for traffic, weather, etc. Please be prompt, as you will not be admitted once the published class time begins, and your tuition is non-refundable.
Classroom training is usually scheduled on weeknights from 6-10 PM and riding is usually done during the day on Saturday and Sunday. Occasionally, an all weekday class is scheduled. Make sure you know your class dates and times when registering for this course.
On the first class date, a current classroom number will be posted at the main entrance of the building. Bring your driver’s license, along with either your motorcycle endorsement, or a valid temporary motorcycle riding permit. Dress casually for the classroom portion of the course.
Riding attire will be discussed on the first night of class. It is mandatory that you wear a long sleeve shirt/jacket, long pants/jeans with no holes or tears, over the ankle shoes or boots, full finger gloves, eye protection, and a DOT approved helmet when operating a motorcycle. Motorcycles and helmets are provided, although you may bring your own DOT approved helmet. You may NOT use your own motorcycle in this class.
To successfully complete this course, you must have 100% attendance, and pass a written and riding test. If successful, you will receive a completion card, which you will take to the driver’s license bureau to receive your endorsement on your license. You do not have to take another riding test at the driver’s license bureau.
Walk in procedure – No waiting list is maintained for this program. The walk-in procedure is for persons not already enrolled in any other BRC class. Non-registered (walk-in) students will be accepted between 5-5:45 PM on the first night of class, and will be used to fill any available seats at the start of class. Day class walk-ins will be accepted up to ½ hour prior to the scheduled start time. Walk-ins will receive a number when they arrive. Once class starts, any available seats will be filled by a random drawing, with one exception. 15 ½-17 year old students will have a priority on any available seats, as it is a mandatory class for them.
For students 15 ½ – 17 years old, a parent or guardian must show up at the first class to sign a waiver form – takes approximately 10 minutes. Minors who register online must pay for the class, and will receive a refund upon class completion.
I have read, understand and agree to the above.
