Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration

As the population grows, so does the demand for new residential, commercial, and industrial climate control systems. The highly trained technicians in the Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) profession maintain the complex HVAC/R systems used in commercial buildings and industry today. Trained technicians have job stability and high earning potential.

The HVAC/R program at Polaris Career Center will help you access this growing field. This program takes place in a comprehensive classroom and practical learning environment.

The course includes:
• Introduction to Construction and Maintenance (Core Curriculum)
• HVAC/R safety relates issues
• Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC/R)
• Heating & air conditioning installation procedures
• Understanding schematics
• Airside systems
• Proper venting
• CFC Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling Certification
• ICE Certification
• Duct work
• Electrical code & electrical controls
• Mechanical maintenance
• Air properties & balancing
• Heating & air conditioning diagnostic techniques
• Refrigeration troubleshooting
• Customer service

All instructional materials, as well as the CFC Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling Certification and ICE test fees, are included. All students are given the opportunity to earn National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Certification in Core Curriculum.

Tuition Fee: $6,995
Tuition includes textbook and certification examination fees.
