Precision/CNC Machine Technology

(600 Hours) Financial Aid Eligible Program (For those who qualify)

Join the high-demand,  high-tech field of precision machining, and enjoy stable employment in the dynamic environment of manufacturing. Feel the satisfaction of making your own components from concept to completion using Computer Numerical Control (CNC) production technology and equipment.

All students will be given the opportunity to earn Level 1 credentials from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills, Inc. (NIMS).

This hands-on curriculum includes:

  • Applied mathematics, blueprint interpretation, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing
  • Project work on lathes, mills, surface grinders
  • CNC/CAM fundamentals
  • Manufacturing safety and job planning
  • Hand tools and drilling machines
  • Inspection instruments and quality control
  • Metallurgy and heat treating
  • Web-based instruction in partnership with Tooling U.
  • Employability skills

Certifications/Licensure include:

  • National Institute for Metalworking Skills, Inc (NIMS)
  • OSHA 10-Hour

Schedule/Tuition:

Fall 2016
Monday – Thursday
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (some Saturday classes may be required)
September 12, 2016 – June 29, 2017 (approximate ending date)

Tuition Fee: $8,995 (includes non-refundable materials fee of $823)

Tuition includes textbooks, Tooling U online training and certification examination fee.

Students can expect the following additional costs: work boots (steel-toed recommended)
