Pre-Engineering (Brooklyn)
The Project Lead the Way® Pre-Engineering program is a four year sequence of courses which, when combined with high school mathematics and science, will introduce you to the scope, rigor and discipline of engineering.
Pre-Engineering Courses Include:
Introduction to Engineering Design – Year #1
Using 3D computer modeling software, you will learn the design process and solve design problems for which you will develop, analyze and create product models.
Principles of Engineering – Year #2
This course will help you gain more in-depth insight into the field of engineering/engineering technology. With a focus on exploring technology systems and manufacturing processes, Principles of Engineering will provide you a better understanding of how engineers and technicians use math, science and technology to solve complex problems and benefit society.
Digital Electronics – Year #3
Use computer simulations to study electronics as you design and test circuits and devices.
Capstone Course – Engineering Design and Development – Year #4
Guided by your instructor and community mentors, you will work as a team to research, design, and construct solutions to engineering problems. The Capstone Course is a summation of everything you have learned throughout the four-year program.
