"Unique and Compelling" Uses of the Internet in Education

These few projects have been collected to demonstrate the potential Soarweb provides to teachers and students for creating multimedia presentations.

    These 4 projects don't offer Real Time Data access, collaboration, communication (Expert or otherwise) authentic content, unique content or original resources.  They do provide the classroom teacher an opportunity to support their face-to-face instruction with custom, online resources.  While not compelling they are uniquely 21st Century!

    The following projects go beyond Unique Content and Subject Specific Resources to incorporate Publishing and Real Time Data Access.  A few incoporate Collaboration, Telecollaboration, or Communication.
     
  • Collaboration,
  • Genetics Project,
  • Unique Content,
  • HS Social Studies lesson on the Roaring Twenties;
    MS/LS Interpreting Maps, a study of India, Study of Solar System, or Spanish/Geography project.
    Demonstration as HS Government teacher project.  This project has Savvy Cyber Teacher Links from Wk 5 unique subject specific resources as well as MarcoPolo's unique content; The SCT Project Management Planner is included.  The SCT objective is to complete "one" (1) of the four areas of concern in the planner (more as time and skill applies).  They should be able to copy this Planner Media Show to their account for such a modification.
