    2. Model Project Standards. "Compelling Integration"  What makes a project "Compelling?" 
        1. The Soarweb Classroom Status Rubric: MediaShow format or HTML format, and Project Management Template.(copy this one to your own account)
          Collaboration: One Learning Segement with Media Shows produced by various authors: a hands-on demo comparing HyperStudio, Soarweb and Internet Publishing.  A Science, Social Studies, Language Arts Standards-based lesson on Earthquakes.
          Vocational Training & Academic Course support: review the examples here and note the contrast between the traditional electronic web-based lesson and the "Unique & Compelling Lesson!"
          Our Collaborative Media Show links.  Link these into your own projects: Media Show #153 called "Our Internet Project" and Media Show #986 "The Project Management Planner." Revise/edit them for your own objectives.

    Lesson Frameworks
  • We use either the The Project Management Planner (Diagram, Description and  Workbook pdf) or  Unit of Practice as our lesson plan format, and the Project Management Template.(copy this one to your own account)
  • We encourage teachers and students to develop "compelling" Soarweb Learning Segments using this rubric and storyboard.
  • Teachers complete an Action Plan (PDF format, MSWord format), maintain a Teacher's Journal (PDF format, Excel format), and complete a MediaShow Storyboard, and Learning Segment StoryBoard
