CARES and HEERF Reports

COVID-19 Financial Assistance for students:

The President declared a U.S. national emergency on March 13, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) was enacted on March 27, 2020, to address income, health, and economic security in response to the national emergency.

The CARES Act establishes a $30.750 billion Education Stabilization Fund that includes the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). This Fund provides for the distribution of approximately $14 billion to institutions of higher education to address needs directly related to coronavirus, including, but not limited to, grant aid to students for their educational costs such as food, housing, course materials, health care, and child care.

1 ) Complete the 2020-2021 or 2021-2022 FAFSA (if you have not already done so).
