You are creative and artistic. You are looking for a profession where you can apply your talents. Look no further than a career in digital art & design. From logos and ads, to commercials and websites, graphic design appears in many media forms. This program attracts aspiring artists with various talents and multimedia skills who come together to learn the techniques needed in this industry and the corporate world.

In the Digital Art & Design program, you will study commercial art and advertising design. You will learn design fundamentals, layout, graphic drawing and production techniques, Web page design, computer animation and three-dimensional design. Working on iMac computer systems, you also gain hands-on experience in integrating audio and video production.

Education:  BS Illustration/Commercial Art; East Texas State University 1987
Industry Experience:  Visual Journalist, 1987 - present, for the Dallas Morning News, Las Vegas Sun, and Cleveland Plain Dealer. Focus on Illustration, Information Graphics, Animation, and Design. Freelance clients include New York Times, Boston Globe, ESPN, LA Times and others. He is a former Professor of Illustration at Columbus College of Art & Design, Columbus, Ohio.

Interests/Hobbies:  Chris is a member of the Society for News Design. He considers himself a backyard bird nerd. Chris enjoys DIY household projects, the outdoors, arts, and family & friends. He served in the USMC Reserve from 1987 - 1995.
