BPA regionals

Our Broadcasting & Video Production, Business Professional & Office Technology and Marketing & Entrepreneurship students recently competed in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) regional competition. BPA is the leading Career Technical Student Organization for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology (IT), office administration and other related career fields. BPA has more than 43,000 members in over 2,300 chapters in 23 states. The Ohio chapter boasts over 9,500 members in 19 regions. Dozens of students from area schools participated in this year’s regional competition, which took place virtually and at Lorain JVS in Oberlin, Ohio. The purpose of these events is to give students the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have mastered in finance, business administration, management information systems, digital communication & design, and management, marketing & communication.

In all, 22 Business Professional & Office Technology students qualified to compete at the state level in Columbus on March 9-10, 2023. In addition, 25 students enrolled in our Marketing and Entrepreneurship and Broadcasting and Video Production satellite programs, located at Berea-Midpark, placed in the top 20 in their National BPA events and earned a chance to present their projects to a panel of judges later this month. Below is a summary of the participants who placed in their events and qualified to compete at the next level.
