state auditor award

The Polaris Career Center Treasurer’s Office has once again demonstrated excellence in financial accountability. Following a recent audit by Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber, Polaris received a clean audit report, earning the prestigious Ohio Auditor of State Award for the eighth straight year.

This year, Polaris was honored to welcome Tina Ludwig, Northeast Region Liaison for the Ohio Auditor of State’s office, who personally presented the award to Treasurer Mike Robinson.

The Ohio Auditor of State’s Office presents this award to public entities that achieve the highest standards in financial reporting and transparency. To qualify, organizations must:

File financial reports on time through the Hinkle System using GAAP accounting

Maintain an audit report free of findings for recovery, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies or questioned costs

Receive a management letter with no comments regarding ethics, reporting delays, bank reconciliation issues, public records or other compliance concerns

Have no other unresolved financial or operational issues

Congratulations to our treasurer’s office on this outstanding achievement! For the most up-to-date information on Polaris fiscal operations, visit www.polaris.edu/financials.
