What an unforgettable and historic year it has been at Polaris! Our record-setting school year began with tremendous excitement as we celebrated the start of our 50th anniversary - honoring five decades of excellence in career-technical education, student achievement and community partnerships.
Throughout the year, there were countless moments of pride, innovation and celebration. In the fall, we hosted the First Annual “Discover Your Future: Polaris College, Career & Resource Fair” and inducted four incredible former students into the Polaris Hall of Fame. We also opened our doors for our 50th Anniversary Community Open House and Trick-or-Trade event, welcoming families, alumni, business partners and community members for a memorable celebration of our past, present and future.
This year also marked the launch of several exciting new career-technical programs, including Engineering Technology, Robotics & Automation, Fashion Design & Merchandising, Cybersecurity and MORE - expanding opportunities for students to pursue in-demand careers and explore cutting-edge industries. Last month, we dedicated our new 26,608-square-foot Engineering Technology, Robotics & Automation building addition, officially ushering in a NEW ERA at Polaris. This event was headlined by a very special guest, Lt. Governor Jim Tressel.
Beyond the classroom, our students continued to raise the bar. Throughout the year, students earned regional, state and national honors at various skills competitions, secured scholarships, achieved industry-recognized credentials and participated in a record number of internships and real-world learning experiences.
The school year culminated with one of the most memorable celebrations in our history. For the first time since 2019, we brought back our Senior Awards Ceremony - this time at the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland. The event welcomed a record number of graduates from both our on-campus and satellite programs, along with their families and supporters, creating a truly unforgettable evening filled with honor, pride and celebration.
